Why is this important?

Economic development, environmental, land use and community planners must understand growth in order to plan for land use infrastructure and supporting resources.  Understanding growth is important to enable land-use, deliver infrastructure, as well as resource management among public policy and private decision makers. This information is also used to assess the impacts of growth and its cumulative impacts across the region to meet future community needs.
