Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Graduation Rates: 4-Year Institutions

Measurement Period: 2023
The percentage of the number of students entering the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), 4-year institutions as undergraduate, full-time, first-time, degree-seeking in a fall cohort year who complete their program within 150% of normal time (6 years for bachelors degrees, 3 years for associate degrees, 1.5 years or one and a half times the normal period of time to complete certificates). This rate is calculated as the total number of completers within 150% of normal time divided by the fall cohort.

Why is this important?

Many of the jobs created in the region require a workforce with advanced education, technical or vocational training, as well as the core skills and the ability to more easily adopt to changes and competition. Graduation rate data provide information on higher education institutional productivity, ensuring students can find good jobs and businesses and find good employees.
