The goal of Hometown Walk of Hope is to raise money to help Obion County residents who have been diagnosed with cancer.

The Hometown Walk of Home is a walking event that uses corporate sponsors and teams to raise money to help cancer patients pay for medication, insurance premiums, doctor bills, gas, food, utility bills, and any other needs.

Goal / Mission

The goal of Hometown Walk of Hope is to raise money to help Obion County residents who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Results / Accomplishments

Each year about 1,000 people from the community participate in the Hometown Walk of Hope by walking or working at fundraising events, and another 3,000 people attend the Hometown Walk of Hope on the day of the event. In its first year, the event raised $60,000 and in 2010 more than $175,000 was raised. Over the lifetime of Hometown Walk of Hope, over $1.3 million has been raised, which has allowed the program to come to the aid of about 50 patients each month.
