Why is this important?

Crimes against the elderly in Nevada include abuse, neglect, exploitation, isolation or abandonment. Elder abuse crosses racial and ethnic, socio-economic and gender lines. Elder abuse can be prevented and just some of the costs to society include shelter, healthcare, financial and legal assistance, and police response time.
