Medical School Graduates Per 100,000 Population

Measurement Period: 2022
Rate of allopathic medical school graduates (MDs) per 100,000 population.

Why is this important?

Why is this indicator important? More access to medical doctors for clinical care, in turn, influences the health of our community. Allopathic MDs are trained to treat patients by means of conventional medicine with a focus on maintaining health through the application of acute and preventative care. According to KFF’s State Health Facts, Nevada ranked 43rd in the nation for allopathic medical school graduates in 2010, but improved to 35th by 2021 (lasted rankings).
