Caring Bear Picnic
A Good Idea
Description
The Caring Bear Picnic is a health and safety event for children up to age 12. Through hands-on activities, both children and parents learn how to live healthy lifestyles. A few key areas of focus are: heart and lung health, children's exercise activities, nutritious snacks, preventing the spread of germs, and summer safety activities including a bicycle safety rodeo. The hospital's volunteer team offers a Teddy Bear Clinic which provides each child's favorite stuffed animal with a wellness check-up. The Caring Bear Picnic is offered in partnership with community agencies.
